proud of myself

If I was a better seamstress and, if my buttonholer on my sewing machine was working, this would've been a lot more fun.
It was an easy pattern, using charm squares.
I love the way it looks, now will be anxious to see if it fits Lila.

happy new niece, Anthony

Something to pass on

Rod's mother, Trudy, a superb sewer and quilter, made this vest for Katie many years ago.
It's still a little too big for Lila, but time to pass it on before I can't find it.

For the Deinhammer Cousins, Jace and Reid

I found the fabric and hat at: totallythomas

It's a great toy store in Carmel Mountain Plaza.
The ultimate Thomas store, but loads of fun stuff for girls!
Lots of Calico Critter dollhouse accessories.

But, I really do think I could do without ugly dolls. How about you???

another hat

The first of many baby gifts that need completing.
A baby boom is a good thing!

The flowers in the background were a lovely Mother's Day surprise from Katie, Derek and Lila, kindly delivered by Michael.
Laurie sent me an Amazon certificate with which I promptly bought the cutest polka dot cake plate that came in the cutest polka dot hat box. Lovely decor for the 'room,' which has momentarily stalled out.
