If I was a better seamstress and, if my buttonholer on my sewing machine was working, this would've been a lot more fun.

It was an easy pattern, using charm squares.

I love the way it looks, now will be anxious to see if it fits Lila.

Rod's mother, Trudy, a superb sewer and quilter, made this vest for Katie many years ago.
It's still a little too big for Lila, but time to pass it on before I can't find it.

The flowers in the background were a lovely Mother's Day surprise from Katie, Derek and Lila, kindly delivered by Michael.
Laurie sent me an Amazon certificate with which I promptly bought the cutest polka dot cake plate that came in the cutest polka dot hat box. Lovely decor for the 'room,' which has momentarily stalled out.
